THERE was mixed results for Bury YWCA last weekend with the Premier Division side losing by just one point in the final minute against Trafford, while the Championship outfit won their match against the same opposition.

In a tight and tense game, the ladies' Premier team edged ahead going into the final 15 minutes. But some misguided passes saw the game slip away from the home team, eventually losing 45-44 in the final minute. A good performance from Katie earned her the player of the match award.

There was better news for the Championship team who beat Trafford 42-37 at Altrincham Grammar.

A tentative start saw the Bury down by two after the first quarter.

But a reshuffle in attack allowed them to claw the score back to within one goal at the end of the second.

A confident and determined Bury took advantage of a tiring Trafford side in the second half to secure the win.
