LANCASHIRE Spinners made it back-to-back league wins after routing Kent Crusaders 115-60 on Sunday.

The Bury-based basketball club started 0-2 in NBL1 play but victories over Westminster and Kent capped off a their road trip south, writes Allen Gunn.

Kyle Carey recorded a season and team-high 35 points in the win – he was 14 for 20 from the floor, including three for seven from three-point range. Lancashire, meanwhile, shot 58 per cent as a team.

“We didn’t want to start the campaign like we did,” said Carey, “but we had an opportunity to get two wins on the road and we capitalised on that.”

The Lancashire bench, who had four players finish in double-figures scoring, combined for 87 points.

The Spinners return to Castle Leisure Centre on Saturday to play Tees Valley Mohawks, tip off 5.45pm. Tickets for both home games in November are priced at £1 per person.
