Saturday was a special day for junior member Megan Peterkin when she notched up her 10th 5k parkrun at Heaton Park, Prestwich.

The latest member in the club's growing junior section, nine-year-old Megan ran 46:24, joining 390 runners.

Mum Sharon, also a Radcliffe member, was helping out as funnel manager at the finish.

The club is working to boost the junior section which meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm-8pm at the Riverside Gym in Radcliffe.

Plans are under way to train more coaches and parents have the opportunity to get involved.
