RADCLIFFE AC’s Anna Lupton was first woman across the line out of 72 runners in the Red Rose Cross Country League event at Leverhulme Park, Bolton.
Lupton has been in top form since returning last month from representing Britain in the 42km Kaisermarathon mountain race in Austria, and has now scored two first cross-country placings.
Second home for Radcliffe was Paula Abernethy in 28th, and sixth in her age group, followed by Rachael Ellison in 34th. The three secured sixth team place.
Anne Marie Rampley (V40) followed Ellison home. Kath Davies was sixth vet over-45s followed by Angela Bell (V40).
Vet over-50 Adrian Harris was first Radcliffe runner home in the men’s race, second in his age group and 38th overall out of 167 runners.
Dave Bartlett was next in, followed by Mike Cunliffe (V40), Kevin McGilvray was third vet over-55, Steve Hamer (V50), Dave Abernethy (V40), Mark Williams (V40), Mark Cartwright (V40), George Critchley (V50) and Mark Murphy. The vets were ninth team.
On the roads, Cunliffe ran 1hr 9mins 39secs in the Preston 10 Mile Road Race and Berin Jones (V40) clocked 1.22.00.
