BURY Athletic Club held a very successful second Mini League fixture of the season with more than 100 athletes taking part and Bury athletes dominating the medal winners.

The stars of the evening were Jerel Livingston, who won three gold medals in under-11 boy’s competition, and Charlotte Larkin who had an amazing debut for the club by taking two gold medals.

Livingston dominated proceedings on the track, continuing his outstanding form from the summer season.

He won the 80metres with a time of 11.05, the 150m in 22.02 and sprinted away from the field to secure victory in the 600m in 1:56.

There were also medals for Seb Fletcher in the long jump, E Savage with bronze in the 600m and Sam Knowles in the soft javelin.

Never having run competitively before, Larkin stormed to victory in the 80m in 11:04, returning to record an excellent 21:05 to win the 150m.

In both events, she led a Bury clean sweep of the medals with Grace Goodsell second and Hattie Vaughan third in both races.

Goodsell won gold in the long jump with 4.07m and Vaughan added a silver in the long jump and bronze in the soft javelin.

Ellie Carter took an excellent silver in the soft javelin, while Daisy Worthington ran a superb personal best of 2:37 for second in the 800m to add to her long jump bronze.

In the u9s girl’s events, Bury’s medal winners were led by Olivia Benjamin with gold in the soft javelin. In the same event, Mille Yates took silver, adding a bronze for third in the 600m.

Nicole Palmer also won bronze in the 150m and long jump. Noah Carter was the star for Bury’s u9s boys, taking gold in the long jump, adding third in the 80m. He led a clean sweep in the long jump with Seb Hutchings second and Harry Yates third. Yates added a bronze in the soft javelin.

Bury’s u11s sprinters were also in fine form. Ella Hall won the 80m with 12.07, edging out Catherine Russell who won further silver medals in the 150m and soft javelin.

Lucy Pixton leapt over three metres to take an excellent silver in the long jump. For the u13 boys, Brandon Wilson led the way with silver in the 150m and bronze in the 80m.
