BOXING: Radcliffe Dynamics ABC handed a debut outing to 11-year-old Kurtis Gould last weekend and he didn't disappoint.
Gould, who is the only southpaw at the Water Street-based gym, beat his opponent Devon Derrick on points. Gould won all three rounds.
However, there was no victory for Gould's stablemate Hayden Haslam, who saw his fight with Jake Moss stopped after the first round because he wasn't returning punches.
Jordan Owen won fight-of-the-night when he took on home favourite Fran Magari at New Bury and Farnworth ABC's show.
Unfortunately, Owen lost on points after a fine display. However, he will have a chance to get his revenge when the pair meet again on Radcliffe's show at the Civic Suite on May 23.
Tickets for the show are priced at £10 and are available from Mick Rice on 07824616876 or Paul Charnock on 07841 356614.
