BURY rider Ben Grindrod finished a creditable 26th at Knockhill, Dunfermline, last Sunday in the latest round of the National Superstock 1000 Championship.
Grindrod and his Ainsworth-based Team Motocoat earned a starting position of 30th on the grid and, after a difficult start that saw the 24-year-old drop further back down the field, he picked up a number of places.
The 24-lap race was brought to an early finish following a serious crash, but Grindrod will be buoyed by his performance ahead of the next round at Snetterton
