In the Irwell Street Metals A Section, Fishpool left themselves in pole position for their third consecutive title, overcoming Bury Snooker D in some style.

The match was a close affair, with Andy Rhodes earning a valuable 7-2 victory.

Tottington D suffered only their third defeat in four matches, as they went down 8-1 to a resurgent Buchanans A.

Great performances from Jason Taylor and Martin Hulmes made sure of the aggregate by the halfway stage. In the final game, due to late cards, Elton Lib B will enjoy the bragging rights over Elton Lib C until the New Year.

In the Cornucopia Cards and Gifts B Section, Buchanans B bounced back to form following a few disappointing results. The Ramsbottom side beat B Section veterans Stanley 7-1, largely thanks to an impressive performance from John Reilly.

Above Buchanans at the top are Bury Snooker B, who were involved in a tight affair against Salisbury B.

The match went to the wire, with Jordan Harvey managing to take the final frame to make it 3-3, but missing out on the aggregate by a single point.

Jimmy Morrison scored the top break of the week, having only recently returned to league action.

His Salisbury A side went down to Bury Snooker C as the top two teams in the league pulled away.

Tottington A finally got a win at home when they beat Seedfield A. The 7-1 scoreline flattered to deceive with Seedfield still in with a shout going into the final frame. The steady Lee Armstrong did enough to secure the frame and aggregate.

In the Bury Minibus Hire C Section, Radcliffe Central A remain unbeaten.

They overcame Huntley B 6-2, but in truth the aggregate between the sides was enough to win two matches.

Thanks to huge wins for Danny Morris, Mike Hill, and a good win from Alan Norris, the difference between the teams was a massive 224 points.

Second-placed Walshaw maintained the pressure on the leaders with a 6-3 win against fellow promotion hopefuls Huntley Unionist C who are now third on the same points.

Walshaw took the opening three frames, but Huntley replied by taking the final three, missing out on the aggregate by 19 points.

The next delegates meeting is tonight at Bury Bridge WMC. All clubs must attend.
