BURY will have to beat one of their main promotion rivals to reach the third round of the FA Cup after drawing Luton Town at home.

The Hatters, who beat Newport 4-2 in the last round, have lost just once in their last 12 matches in all competitions, moving above Bury into second place in the League Two table in the process.

David Flitcroft’s Shakers side drew 1-1 at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season, but will once again have home advantage in the cup after beating non-league Hemel Hempstead Town at the JD Stadium in the opening round.

Bury are in the middle of a nine match winning run on home turf so should start as slight favourites to progress into the next round, when the Premier League and Championship sides enter the competition.

Elsewhere in the draw, the three lowest-placed sides were all handed tough away matches.

Warrington Town, who knocked out League Two Exeter City, will travel to Conference side Gateshead.

Coventry’s conquerors Worcester City face another trip to League One opposition in Scunthorpe, while Blyth Spartans have a local derby at the Football League's basement club Hartlepool to look forward to.

All matches are scheduled to be played between Friday, December 5, and Monday, December 8, with dates for each tie to be set after the matches to be televised are selected later this week.
