BURY’S search for a victory continues after they let slip a two-goal lead at home to relegation threatened York to extend their winless run to nine matches.
Andrew Tutte put the Shakers in front on 57 minutes with a deflected 25-yard strike before Danny Nardiello headed in a wicked Chris Hussey free kick five minutes later.
Both goals were celebrated amid wild scenes on the Bury touchline, but the home side were never allowed to settle on their lead as Jake Hyde quickly headed a goal back for York, who are third-bottom of League Two.
And, after some nervy moments in the Shakers defence, Luke Summerfield finally levelled for the visitors with an unstoppable 30-yard free kick 12 minutes from time that curled into the top corner.
The point at least closed the gap on the promotion play-off places, as Bury remain ninth in the table, three points behind seventh-placed Newport.
