BURY have signed Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has made nine appearances for the Championship side this campaign after enjoying a successful loan spell at York in League Two last season.
He kept 16 clean sheets in 24 appearances for the Minstermen, and it was hoped he would make the step up to Athletic's first team this season.
While Pope has put in some decent performances for the Addicks, he has also made a number of slip-ups, most recently in their match against Blackburn Rovers.
And after manager Bob Peeters lined up a short-term replacement this week it was decided the time was right for Pope to earn further experience lower down the leagues.
He will now go into Bury's squad for their League Two game at Accrington Stanley on Friday night.
