BURY have announced New Balance as the club’s new kit manufacturer.

The players will be kitted out by the global sports brand from the start of the 2015/16 season after they were chosen to replace local supplier Surridge Sports.

New Balance already supply kits for Liverpool, Stoke City and Celtic but Bury are the first Football League club to team up with the American company.

They will design and develop the Shakers’ first team strip and training kit.

In a statement, the club confirmed that their home kit would remain in the traditional colours of white home shirt, royal blue shorts and socks.

"The agreement to work alongside New Balance is one that emphasises the steps we have taken over the past two years to take this club to a higher level,” said Bury chairman Stewart Day, who took over in June 2013, with the club earning promotion to League One in May, months after moving into Manchester City's former training complex at Carrington.

“Currently New Balance have such clubs as Liverpool, Stoke and Celtic and we will be the first Football League club to be associated with such an exciting and developing brand.

“The new deal not only sees us wearing the kit but also footwear as well and we are so proud to have secured such a high-profile partner.

“New Balance want to expand their brand into Europe and bring a host of opportunities to work alongside them to change the mould of the traditional kit supplier.

“The work the commercial team has done is incredible and I look forward to more commercial signings over the next few weeks that will demonstrate the steps we are taking to increase the profile of this great club.”

Bury's new kit launch is scheduled for Friday, July 10. The new strip will then be available to pre-order through the club shop and online, while stock will be available to purchase from the club shop from 9am on Wednesday, August 5.
