FANS' favourite Ryan Lowe will be available for selection for Bury's FA Cup tie against Bradford following the end of his loan spell at Crewe Alexandra, manager David Flitcroft has confirmed.

The 37-year-old striker scored two goals in six appearances for Crewe.

But after recovering from injury problems during the first half of the campaign, he has been brought back into the Bury fold.

The front man was involved in lengthy discussions with the management team at Carrington yesterday and it was decided he would remain with the Shakers for the foreseeable future after proving his fitness.

Flitcroft said: “Ryan has come back, he is training with us and he will available for selection for Saturday.

“He came back in great nick. He obviously played five or six games down there and he has done well, even though the team has struggled.

“Crewe have not been on asking me if they want to extend it or do something with that.

“We have not had that conversation with Crewe but we had a fantastic chat with Ryan yesterday and he trained yesterday with us and he trained today and he will train tomorrow with a view of being in the squad.

“It is great to have him back and in and around the squad.

“Where I felt that because of his injury this season he may only have 20 minutes, he has proved that he has gone out there and made 90 minute games, which is fantastic for Ryan and fantastic for us so I'm delighted to have him back in the squad.”
