BURY have signed former Bradford City left-back Greg Leigh on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old defender, who joins on a two-year contract, is the Shakers' seventh free transfer of the summer and follows in the footsteps of former Bantam Ben Williams in switching Valley Parade for Gigg Lane.
Manager David Flitcroft has been searching for a left-back to fill the void left by the sale of Chris Hussey to Sheffield United.
And with the future of Danny Pugh uncertain after his contract with Bury expired today, Leigh is expected to make the left-back birth his own.
The full-back is a product of the Manchester City youth academy and spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Crewe Alexandra in League One.
He only missed four games during that campaign and his consistent performances sealed a move to Bradford City last summer, but Leigh only made nine appearances for the Bantams and was released at the end of the season.
