BURY have made a triple swoop in the transfer market to boost their defence ahead of tomorrow's trip to League One title chasers Scunthorpe United.

In a busy afternoon for the Shakers, they brought in two young Championship defenders on loan - Taylor Moore from Bristol City and Cameron Burgess from Fulham - and re-signed utility man Reece Brown on a short-term contract.

All three will be available for the match at Glanford Park after signing up until the end of the season.

Moore, aged 19, has made 11 appearances in the Championship this season, the last coming in a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich on December 30.

He signed a three-year deal with the Robins in the summer following the end of his contract at RC Lens, where his family were based.

While playing in Ligue 1, Moore was the subject of a €10million bid from Lyon but elected to see out his contract before trying to secure a move back to England.

The teenager started his career in the West Ham academy before his family moved to France and he joined Lens as a 12-year-old.

He has never fallen off the England radar, however, also representing his country at U17s and U18s level and captaining the U19s team.

Burgess joined up with the Fulham academy in 2011 after moving from Australia, where his parents had emigrated to while he was a youngster.

After initially starting his career in Scotland with the academies at Celtic and Aberdeen, Burgess played for the Tartan Army's U20s before switching his allegience to the Socceroos.

The 21-year-old, who can operate in the centre of defence and on the left, helped Fulham to the FA Youth Cup final in the 2013/14 season and has made four league appearances for the Cottagers.

After turning out for Cheltenham Town on loan last season, he spent the first half of this season at Oldham, making 31 appearances on loan for the Latics and playing at centre-back in their 1-0 win at Gigg Lane earlier in the campaign.

Bury's other signing today is well known to the Gigg faithful.

Brown played at right-back, centre-back and in a holding midfield role for the Shakers last season and returns after being released by Sheffield United.

The 25-year-old ex-Manchester United defender - brother of former England centre-back Wes Brown - joined the Blades in the summer after being let go by Bury but only made two appearances for the Bramall Lane outfit.
