SHAKERS' star striker James Vaughan has been named Sky Bet League One player of the month for January.
The front man hit a rich vein of form after putting four goals past Peterborough in a 5-1 victory, ending a club record winless run of 20 matches that stretched back to the end of September.
He went on to score in three consecutive matches, putting two past Port Vale in a 2-2 and one in a 3-3 thriller against Walsall.
The run took Vaughan's goal tally for the month to seven in five matches and 17 from 27 appearances in total for the season.
Elsewhere, Fleetwood boss Uwe Rösler was named League One manager of the month for January after taking the Fylde-coast club up to fourth place in the table on the back of four wins and a draw.
