It is the Shakers team at the start of the 1981/82 season, back, from left, Mark Hilton, Paul Hilton, Pat Howard, Paul Cruickshank, David Brown, Steve Johnson, Steve Kenworthy, Noel Bradley, Dave Constantine, Mick Pickup (coach); front, Mick Butler, Craig Madden, Joe Jakub, Jim Iley (manager), Tommy Gore, Steve Mullen and Keith Kennedy.
The team enjoyed a superb start to the campaign, winning 11 out of their opening 16 fixtures in all competitions, but tailed away badly.
A run of 12 games without a win in March and April saw the side finish ninth in Division Four, 20 points outside the promotion places.
