A BRACE from Chris Bushby and a skilful finish from Tom Hartley helped third-placed Tottington United secure victory over a resurgent Little Lever on Saturday.
It was Tottington who started the stronger, in a fixture played on the new 3G facility at Little Lever School due to the inclement wintry conditions, and they took the lead on 15 minutes through Hartley.
Bushby doubled the advantage on the half hour mark and had Richard Woodward converted a 40th minute penalty, Totty would have taken a comfortable lead into the break.
However, 20 minutes into the second half Little Lever were back on level terms following a brace from Scott Bingham.
The visitors responded well and with 15 minutes remaining, Bushby grabbed his second and Totty's winner latching onto a channel ball to strike early into the bottom corner from distance.
