WALSHAW slipped to their seventh defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 at home to Wythenshawe Amateurs on Saturday.
A dour contest between two FBT Manchester League Premier Division sides lacking in confidence saw the visitors take the spoils with a second half spot kick.
Third-from-bottom Walshaw led through a Jonny Hunter header with the assist from a Connor Gateley free-kick.
Wythenshawe levelled with a drive into the bottom right corner before the break.
Both sides had half chances to win the game in the second half but when Wythenshawe were awarded a controversial penalty, the visitors took their chance to take all three points away from Sycamore Road.
