MARIO Daniel handed out a lesson in finishing as he scored a hat-trick in Walshaw’s 4-1 victory at Wythenshawe Amateurs in the Manchester League Premier Division on Saturday.

The home side were quickly out of the traps and had Walshaw rocking for the opening 15 minutes, but missed chances cost them dear.

Walshaw made them pay on 20 minutes when Mike Crompton’s cross from the right was expertly converted by Daniel from close range.

Chances went begging at both ends before Paul Snape smashed home an unstoppable free kick from just outside the box to double Walshaw’s advantage on the stroke of half time.

Ammies pressed the visitors back in the opening stages of the second half but went further behind on 70 minutes when Crompton and Dom Slavin worked an opening for Daniel to score his second goal of the game from just inside the box.

And Daniel grabbed his hat-trick with 10 minutes remaining before the home side scored a consolation in the dying seconds.

The result cemented Walshaw’s position in 12th place.
