THE feel-good factor returned to Cams Lane as AFC boosted their Manchester League Premier Division survival hopes with four goals of the highest quality.
Greg Wills took the plaudits with a fantastic hat-trick. He opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a 25-yard shot.
Gary Edwards struck a minute into the second half, powering in a sublime volley from Steve Simms’ cross.
Simms was again the provider when his low cross was coolly slotted home by Wills, then Simms made a jinking run through the defence before unselfishly laying the ball off to Wills for his hat-trick goal.
There was just enough time for a consolation goal for Alts, which marred an otherwise excellent AFC performance.
