Walshaw eased to a comforttable victory.
Monton started the brighter and were ahead on 15 minutes when a forward unleashed a rocket from the right side of the box giving Telfer no chance.
Walshaw awoke from their slumbers, and a couple of half chances came and went before Karl Lomax curled a shot into the bottom right corner to bring the home side level.
After the break, the home side stepped up a gear and returning striker Lee Bruce bagged two and Connor Gateley completed the tally with a long-range effort.
Sunday saw the youth team squander a two-goal lead and were grateful for a last-gasp equaliser from Kieran Pickup in a 3-3 draw with Formby.
With long-term goalkeeper Simon Marsh out for the season, Walshaw are looking to sign a keeper for the first team. Call 07873 329981.
