RADCLIFFE Borough were denied a deserved point after late heartbreak at home to high-flyers Farsley FC.
Robert O’Brien piled on the agony for struggling Boro, firing home a 92nd-minute winner that left Farsley second in Evo-Stik Division One North and Kevin Glendon’s men hovering above the drop zone.
The two sides were locked in stalemate for the majority of the second half after a goal-laden opening half-hour.
Aiden Savory got the scoring underway for the visitors after only seven minutes, but rather than triggering a Boro collapse, as in the 4-0 defeat at home to Northwich Victoria in their previous match, the Stainton- Park outfit came roaring back.
Bradley Robinson provided an almost immediate riposte, bagging his 10th goal of the season in the 13th minute.
And Matt Landregan sealed the comeback with his second goal in the last three games on the half hour.
That winning feeling did not last for long, however, as Farsley were awarded a penalty just three minutes later, converted by Adam Priestley.
But Boro held firm and deserved something from a game that marked a promising debut for teenaged former Manchester City and Barnsley full-back Kenna Ngoma.
O’Brien’s late strike did not, at least, condemn Radcliffe to a return to the relegation places. They remain third-bottom, one place and two points above the drop zone.
