Due to a waterlogged pitch at Stainton Park last weekend, Radcliffe Borough’s fixture with fellow strugglers Prescot Cables was postponed.

Kevin Glendon and the management team at Boro spent the game-free weekend strengthening the squad ahead of what coach Glendon says is a “must-win” match at bottom-of-the-table Ossett Albion on Saturday.

Joining the Stainton Park outfit are central defenders Liam Baker and Mark Ayres, midfielders Ben Manning and Eliott Rokka, and goalkeeper Sam Moore.

Boro go into the match on 19 points – six points above their relegation rivals having played a game less.

They enjoyed a 3-0 success against Albion in the reverse fixture in October, and will want to put on a decent display to erase the memory of their last outing – an 8-0 defeat at Ramsbottom United, two weeks ago.

Ossett Albion go into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat at mid-table Lancaster City last weekend.

With just five wins from their 27 games so far this season, Boro will hope the new players will help propel them up the league and away from the drop zone.

Radcliffe Boro have re-arranged three of their home fixtures. The match against Prescot Cables will now take place on Tuesday, March 18. Lancaster City will visit on Saturday, March 22 and Padiham on Tuesday, April 8.
