RADCLIFFE’S end-of-season awards saw Callum Grogan scoop a double after an impressive season for Boro.
Grogan won the vote for the supporters’ and players’ player of the year at the presentation night at the Village Hotel in Bury.
The Boro fans voted Mason Fallon as the club’s young player of the year, while James Hooper collected the golden boot prize.
The reserve-team awards went to Cameron Lawarne (players’ player) and Brandon Mann (manager’s player).
Lawarne also took home one of the two academy sides’ gongs. Also among the awards were top goalscorers Marcos Mane and Sheldon Barrington, manager’s players of the year Matty McSorland and Josh Hargreaves and the Blue team’s players’ player of the year, Stephen Stretton. The recipient of the Bernard Manning Trophy, presented by the Friends of the Boro, was Dave Chalmers.
An extra boost for first-team manager Jon Macken was the re-signing of three players in preparation for next season, as Fallon, Rick Smith, and Kingsley Williams have all signed on for the 2018/19 season.
