BURY'S Under-18s put in a dominant performance against North East side Seaham Red Star to seal progression through to the second round of the FA Youth Cup, writes Michael Henson.

Hotshot striker Anthony Dudley bagged his third hat-trick of the season to take his tally to 16 goals in 14 games, while Marcus Poscha, Khalid Mohammed and Raquarn Crosdale were also on the scoresheet.

Captain Poscha started the rout in the 12th minute following a cleverly worked free kick before the lead was doubled two minutes later by Dudley.

The striker added his second in the 34th minute after his cross-shot went in via a slight deflection to see Bury go into the break 3-0 up.

Seaham Red Star pulled a goal back early in the second half when Liam Heywood slotted the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area after latching on to a misplaced kick from goalkeeper Jack Ruddy.

But Dudley sealed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, while Khalid Mohammed and Raquarn Crosdale completed the scoring with a goal apiece late on.

The young Shakers will face either Ellesmere Rangers or Port Vale, who play tomorrow night, in the second round.
