BURY FC have signed Hallam Hope on a three and a half year deal after the club agreed an undisclosed transfer fee with Premiership side Everton. All necessary paperwork for the transfer of Hallam's registration will be submitted as soon as the transfer window opens on 4 January.

Hope is of course no stranger to the JD Stadium, having spent a very successful loan spell with Bury last season - scoring six goals in eight appearances, including a hat trick against Portsmouth.

Although he joined Sheffield Wednesday earlier this season, David Flitcroft kept in close contact with his progress and with Everton and finally brought him back to the JD on 10 November on loan. Since returning, Hope has made a further seven appearances though for the Shakers.

Speaking ahead of this morning's training session, manager David Flitcroft said: "The signing of Hallam is a signing for the present and the future for us, he represents the new ambition of our football club.

"He adds power, speed, strength and potency to our squad. His potential is frightening and I love working with him. As a player and a person, he wants to improve on a daily basis."
