BURY loan striker George Miller was finding the net in every other game in February and the young forward’s impressive form in front of goal has seen him named on the shortlist for the PFA Bristol Street Motors League One Player of the Month.
Miller, back at Gigg Lane on loan from Middlesbrough following his move to Teesside last summer, scored in three successive games for the Shakers during February, his strikes against Blackpool, AFC Wimbledon and Bradford City taking him to four straight games, as he also netted at Oxford in Bury’s last match of January.
And the youngster’s form has seen him nominated for the division’s top player prize for February, which will be decided by fans’ votes. Miller is up against Blackburn duo Adam Armstrong and Danny Graham, Rotherham pair Joe Newell and Semi Ajayi, and Southend United’s Jason Demetriou.
Shakers supporters will have to act quickly to cast their vote as online voting at footballfancast.com/pfa-awards closes tomorrow morning at 8am.
