POLICE are looking for a man who wiped excrement on two women in a pub in Ramsbottom.
They have released the image of a man wanted in connection with the incidents, which took place in the Oakes Pub, in Bridge Street.
The first incident took place on Friday, October 12, at around 11.30pm.
A 46-year-old woman was approached by a man after he had walked into the men’s toilets.
He appeared to wipe something on her arm before walking off.
“It was only when he walked away, she realised it was excrement.
The second incident took place at the same pub at around 9pm on Thursday, October 25 when a man approached a 52-year-old woman. She felt her clothing being touched and looked down to see excrement on her sleeve. The man was described as white, aged 45 to 50, of medium build and between 5ft 8in to 6ft tall. He had short cropped hair which was grey at the side and had been wearing a dark jacket, check shirt with a grey t-shirt underneath.
PC Rachael Allen, of Bury Police, said: “This is a disgusting act that has left two women deeply shocked by what has happened.
“This was a completely unprovoked assault by a man the victims did not know and we believe the same person is responsible for both incidents.”
