FAMOUS faces from Bury turned out to urge the town’s girls and women to get active and have fun.
Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine, retired netball player Tracey Neville, sister of footballers Phil and Gary, and Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson, were unveiled as I Will If You Will (IWIYW) ambassadors to help raise the profile of the campaign.
Nikki said: “I think this campaign is fantastic.
“Not just for individuals but for groups of people and the community of Bury.
“I still live in Bury. I think we’ve got a fantastic community here of strong, independent women.”
Mini exercise taster sessions, led by Julie Porter, Bury leisure studio co-ordinator, gave the celebrity ambassadors an opportunity to try out the classes on offer across the borough including piloxing, a blend of pilates and boxing, and belrobics, an energetic mix of belly dancing and aerobics.
