BURY’S search for a home win continues after they let a lead slip against AFC Wimbledon at the JD Stadium.
Danny Hylton headed Ronnie Jepson’s side in front after 34 minutes but the Shakers defence never looked comfortable all afternoon.
And it was no surprise when Luke Moore capitalised on a slip from centre-back Nathan Cameron in the 65th minute to fire the Dons back on level terms and extend Bury's run of winless matches at home to seven.
The Bury backline was almost breached in the very first minute, when George Porter capitalised on a mix-up between centre-back William Edjenguele and keeper Brian Jensen to burst clear.
The winger looked to have been brought down as he tried to go round the big Dane but referee Mick Russell turned down claims for a penalty.
Bury steadied themselves and, after Hylton had looped home a header from Chris Sedgwick's dinked cross, Danny Nardiello had the ball in the Dons' net just before the break
The on-loan striker's well-taken effort was ruled out for offside, however, and Bury were forced on to the back foot in the second half.
Other than Wimbledon’s equaliser, neither side created any clear cut chances before Jim Fenlon curled a shot just wide for the visitors in stoppage time.
The point was enough to keep Bury out of the relegation zone, but they remain in deep trouble in 21st position in League Two, just two points off the bottom.
