BURY face a tough trip to Coventry in the area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, if they can beat Preston in their postponed quarter-final.
That match has been rearranged for Tuesday, December 18, with the winners travelling to the Ricoh Arena on the week commencing January 7.
The Shakers enjoyed a decent result at the Ricoh Arena in League One earlier in the season, coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.
Manager Andy Thorn was sacked after the game, and Coventry have enjoyed a revival since then under Mark Robins.
Bury have also announced that their home match against Sheffield United has been put back from Saturday, January 5, to Tuesday, January 22, due to the FA Cup.
If the Shakers can beat Southend in their FA Cup second round replay on Tuesday, they will be playing Brentford at home in the third round on January 5.
Although that is pending an appeal by Bradford against the FA's decision to throw them out of the cup for fielding an unregistered player in their second round draw at home to Brentford.
