BURY striker Danny Hylton will return to parent club Rotherham United this week after injuring his groin.
New Shakers boss David Flitcroft admitted the 24-year-old forward, who has scored two goals in nine games since joining on loan, may not be able to return before his deal runs out in January.
“Danny has done his groin and is going to go back to Rotherham to get an assessment and possibly some surgery,” said Flitcroft, explaining Hylton’s omission from yesterday’s squad for the 1-1 draw at home to Northampton Town.
“I’m gutted to not have Danny as a part of what I do because from what I’ve seen in the training he has done in the last two or three days I like what he’s about.”
