WHEN Andrew Tutte signed for Bury, there was one match he looked for straight away on the fixture list.
The 23-year-old central midfielder says he is itching to come face to face with his old mates when Rochdale visit the JD Stadium.
And it just so happens that match will be televised on Sky.
“I just can’t wait to play against Rochdale now – March 7 is it?” he said.
“I have no problems with them, I have to move on now, but I’m looking forward to playing against my mates.”
Tutte scored 11 goals in 101 appearances during his two-and-a-half seasons at Spotland, but he felt his chances were curtailed by injury this campaign.
The young Liverpudlian managed just 14 games for Keith Hill’s side this season, making his last appearance in a 2-1 defeat at home to Fleetwood in mid-December.
“I got injured towards the end of last season – I had an operation on my knee – so I don’t know if that affected me to be honest, but I got nine goals last year so hopefully I can get a few here as well,” said Tutte.
“As soon as I heard about the move I wanted to get in and get the papers signed straight away.
“I worked with Flickers when I was at Manchester City, on loan at Rochdale, so I knew what he was about before I came here.
“I just needed a fresh start and hopefully I can kick on at Bury.”
