4:51pm

90+1 - GOAL - Northampton Town 0 Bury 3 - Rose taps in after getting on the end of a horror backpass from the Cobblers' Evan Horwood.

4:50pm

Four minutes of added time.

4:41pm

81 - Jensen dives to his right to gather a Dickenson header from a Diamond flick-on.

4:37pm

77 - Dickenson heads a Carter free-kick wide from a few yards out at the back post.

4:35pm

75 - Rose has a shot blocked by Duke after storming into the box.

4:31pm

72 - SUB - Platt on for Hope.

4:30pm

70 - SUB - Tozer on for McSweeney.

4:29pm

64 - Jones intercepts a Northampton pass before running the full length of ther pitch and putting in a cross that is kicked behind for a corner.

67 - SUB - Rose on for Nardiello.

68 - YELLOW - Deegan (elbow on Procter).

4:15pm

55 - Clever ball from Hope puts Nardiello in behind the Cobblers defence on the left but he doesn't have the legs to make it into the box and the chance goes.

4:12pm

53 - Dickenson glides past his marker but puts a tame cross/shot into the arms of Jensen.

4:11pm

Procter will go into the middle and Sedgwick move out wide.

4:11pm

Seems as if Mayor has been sick on the pitch and taken off due to illness.

4:09pm

50 - SUB - Procter on for Mayor.

4:09pm

48 - Hope gets into the box and opens up his body but sends a right-footed shot across goal.

4:06pm

4:04pm

4:04pm

45 - SUBS - Dickenson and Deegan on for Hackett and Ravenhill.

4:02pm

Stat of half time from the home radio staff - the Cobblers have not come back from 2-0 down to win a game since the 1992-93 season.

4:00pm

Attendance: 4,631 (406 visiting).

3:52pm

Northampton 0 Bury 2

3:46pm

This referee is struggling to keep control. Both sets of players are trying to get away with all sorts of antics and he is not being firm enough. It is not a dirty match but threatening to boil over on the off the pitch.

44 - McNulty looks to have handled a Hacket shot in the box. He kept his hands down but the ball richochets off them and behind for a corner, which is cleared.

3:42pm

41 - Hope misses a free header following a fantastic cross from the right from Jones. He got in front of his marker but dipped under the ball from six yards.

3:39pm

35 - GOAL - Northampton Town 0 BURY 2 - Danny Mayor cuts inside then fires off a shot that deflects up off a Cobblers defender and over Matt Duke into the goal.

3:33pm

It’s getting a bit fiery on the sidelines. The Bury staff are unhappy with a number of challenges made from behind on Nardiello. All of the Shakers management team were in the technical area, prompting Alan Knill – the former Bury boss and now Northampton assistant manager – to complain to the fourth official.

29 – Marquis rattles the far post with a drive across goal that had Jensen beaten. The ball bounces out to safety.

3:32pm

Sorry for the slow updates here but the wif-fi is pedestrian at best.

The goal looks to have done Hope the world of good, who scored on his debut during a loan spell at the Cobblers earlier this season.

Could he return to haunt the relegation-threatened side.

3:22pm

19 - GOAL - Northampton 0 BURY 1 – Hallam Hope stoops to head in off the crossbar from close range following a driven cross from the byline by Danny Mayor.

3:14pm

12 – Hope gets to the byline and sends a dangerous ball across the six yard box. No Bury players were able to get on the end of it but the clearance goes as far as Nardiello who curls a shot goalwards that Matt Duke gathers on the stretch.

3:14pm

10 - Marquis seizes on indecision between McNulty and Mills to get on the ball and puts another low bobbling shot towards goal that Jensen again has no problems gathering.

3:11pm

3:09pm

A swirling wind is making it difficult for both sets of players here at the Sixfields, with plenty of awkward clearances being made as a result.

3:08pm

6 - Great ball from the back from McSweeney for Hackett to chase but McNulty clears the danger and Bury clear the resulting corner.

3:05pm

4 – Marquis gets off the first shot of the game, a bobbling effort from 25 yards that is easy for Jensen.

3:04pm

Not a great first touch from Hope, over hitting an easy lay-off to get a counter attack moving.

3:01pm

3:01pm

Players are out here. Northampton have been forced into a last-minute switch, with centre-back Gregor Robertson, who was due to start, out inhjured.

That has led to a change of formation, with Ian Morris promoted from the subs bench to play on the left of midfield, with the Cobblers switching from wing backs to a flat back four.

2:49pm

Team news

Just one change from the starting line-up that claimed a 0-0 draw at Newport County in midweek with Everton striker Hallam Hope coming in for Clive Platt, who takes up a place on the bench.

Hope, aged 20, was drafted in from the Toffees reserve team on Thursday, one of two deals made on the loan window deadline day.

Danny Rose, also 20, was the other, and he has been handed a substitute berth.

Ashley Grimes drops down from the bench, replaced by Tope Obadeyi following his return from a third month on loan at Plymouth.

While Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro has left the club, recalled from his season-long loan by Tranmere.

Great result today for The mighty shakers beating a poor team that couldn't afford to lose this game. The proverbial 6 pointer at Sixthfields turned in to a double delight for new signings Hope & Rose. We road our luck at times but players like Mills were immense and dug deep for the team.Well done to the board for backing Df.There was a clinical edge to us today which had been sadly missing in the past 7 games.

See the wind has changed again,oh and glad to see you describe Pablo now as immense as opposed to a run of the mill journeyman which you described him as when DF signed him,you really should be in stand up.

What a superb day out. Back just in time to see MOTD and the League Show.

If anybody questions Flickers after this result and the lads he brought in, well all I can say is keep taking the meds.

Dominating, sharp...defensively sound and what a duo debut pair and what a crafty piece of work from the Gaffer. I thought Pablo was superb and the fans were great.

SAFE BY APRIL 1st I have said and come under some severe thumping for saying it... 3-0 against Rovers on Tuesday and we will be 12th on 50.

Well done to everyone at the club....

When Pablo Mills came to Bury fc he was short of match fitness and got injured in a behind closed doors game.Since then he has been immense.
My argument is that Our boss had been recruitng some players who were not fit to play 90 minutes of football..

Yesterday the side played well against one of the poorest Northampton Town teams in living memory. Our forwards must have thought it was Christmas. They gift wrapped all of the 3 goals to us on a plate.

We could have easily 6 goals against the tepid defence,we defended well as a team and The beast was immense as usual.Still cannot understand why Flits dropped him at half time against Southend United fc.

Ex Pat's comments should be treated with the destain they deserve,an attack on me more than my comments which has once again be noted.

You come on here just to have a go at me and make few if any visits to this site only once again whinging about me and what i have said in the past.

Had it not been for Hope,Rose & an ill Mayor the three loaness we would have struggled to score even against a pathetic Cobblers team. The Newport Game in midweek was a testament to how poor our finishing had been in earlier games before the new arrivals added a spark.

Jones runs his heart out bless him but does he have a goal in his game?,i don't think so,maybe he could do with a break too.

I think it's time the gaffer drops Nardiello,he needs a rest,he is an average striker without the ball and doesn't work hard enough at times to make things happen for himself and the team.

The only wind that is blowing on this site is coming from the place which should be your second mouth piece, hopefully the sun will be shining at your end today.

Well, what a great result that was.......and by all accounts, well deserved.

Good to see Platt dropped to the bench and one of the new young quicker lads get a start, i'm willing to bet we knocked it about a bit more rather than keep launching long hopeful punts up field that we seem to have reverted to of late.

As Easy says, a win tomorrow will put us in 12th place (and in the top half), it's amazing what a couple of wins can do eh.

Tbh, i think Eileen has a point about Nardiello, I'm not saying drop him but he certainly doesn't work hard enough for me either, maybe the introduction of a couple of young hungry forwards to the fold might make him sit up abit more and realize his starting berth isn't guaranteed for the remainder of the season....this competition can only be good for us.

I did say a win at Northampton should see us safe, but a win tomorrow will certainly cement it.
Well done to all concerned, now let's finish the season off in some style.

I'm keeping that stone nice and warm just for you,i'm sure you will find it very accomodating along with the spider that resides with it (creep).

Still think Bury fc are moving forward under our cluless board after all of the investment that has been made at the club over the last 12 months."DELUDED" the lot of you.

Absolute garbage, look where York City are in the league and they were in the bottom 2 after we beat them at Xmas.
We should be challenging for the top 7 and have a far bigger budget than them
