SEDGLEY Tigers have been warned not to take Stourbridge lightly on Saturday.

The Whitefield men are not completely safe from relegation from National League One, and could secure their place this weekend.

But they will face a side who need to win all their remaining games to stay up.

Assistant coach Dave Peet is warning the Park Lane outfit will face a desperate side who have a track record of causing upsets this season.

“They’re a dangerous side,” he said. “They’re second bottom but they’re not a bad side.

“They’re erratic in that they’ll produce good results against top sides and then get beat against teams near the bottom.

“But the one thing they do is score points which makes them dangerous. You just don’t know how they are going to play and what mood they’re going to be in.

“But we’ve got to be on our game because I think we still need to win two games out of the last five to definitely stay up.

“We shouldn’t have to at this stage of the season because we’re better than that, but that’s the situation we’re in.

“Birmingham have started winning and if they win all their remaining games they can go above us so we’ve got to stick at it.

“But we’ve been playing well. Even the recent games we lost we played well in, especially against Blackheath when we were easily the better side, and against the leaders Jersey who took a pounding against us and knew they were fortunate to win.”

Tigers are waiting for fitness tests being carried out today on Simon Parrott, Chris Parrott, Mark Jennings and Jimmy Lloyd, and they are waiting on the outcome of a disciplinary tribunal hearing which will decide whether Richard Oxley should serve a suspension following his sending off in the last game.
