BURY Broncos romped to victory in their first home game of the summer season against Salford Central.

Matty Hindley put the Broncos ahead early when he broke a couple of tackles from dummy half to score in the corner after Adam Radford and Charlie Delaume combined well in the build-up.

Chris Radford unselfishly put Adam Radford in to score after Rob Russell made 40 yards after collecting a kick deep inside the Broncos half.

Chris Ready and Simon Horsefield shared the kicks.

The Broncos took an eight-point lead into half time and quickly extended it when Gerarde Potts scored a debut try before Chris Ready created space for Russell to finish in the corner. After Salford scored their second try of the game Ready laid on another try, this time for Rick Brogan, Ready adding the extras to give the Broncos to a 20-point advantage with 15 minutes remaining before Salford scored two late tries.

Broncos are at Philips High, Whitefield, again on Saturday when Little Hulton Reds are the visitors, kick off 3pm.
