LeRoi Moore, saxophone player for the Dave Matthews Band, has died from injuries he received in an accident on an all-terrain vehicle.
Moore, 46, died on Tuesday at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Centre in Los Angeles, the rock band said on its website.
He was taken to hospital in late June after the accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia.
He had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin rehabilitation when complications forced him back into the hospital on July 17.
Ambrosia Healy, the band's publicist, said the group's show in Los Angeles on Tuesday had not been cancelled.
