A man has been charged with having a deadly key fob gun, police said.
Michael Smith, 25, was spotted acting suspiciously by officers in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, at around 9.15pm.
He was arrested and searched and police discovered a silver key fob, similar to a key ring, which can fire bullets and is lethal at close-range.
Smith, of Combermere Street, Dukinfield, has been charged with possession of a firearm, and also possession of CS gas and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The miniature key fob firearms have been recovered in London, Liverpool and Manchester.
They are often imported from Eastern Europe and have become a worrying novelty weapon.
Small and easy to conceal they can fire two .22 bullets and are cocked by pulling part of the key ring.
Two buttons on the sides of the box-shaped fob are pressed to fire it and a third button opens the gun for reloading.
Smith is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Thursday October 23.
