Phil Taylor claimed an emphatic 18-9 victory over defending champion James Wade to win the Stan James World Matchplay title in Blackpool.
'The Power' had produced some scintillating darts in the semi-finals when he progressed to the final with a 17-8 crushing of Dennis Priestley.
Wade had dismissed Wayne Mardle 17-5 to reach the final as he looked for his fourth title, but Taylor proved too strong and claimed his ninth World Matchplay title.
