Readers may be unaware of a voluntary bereavement and loss counselling support service which has existed in the north Manchester area for the past 30 years.
The service is called Care Concern, and is free to members of the public.
Referrals are received from hospital departments, primary care teams, general practitioners, and we are finding that more and more of our clients contact us as a result of friends, who are past clients. Counsellors are qualified, have professional supervision, and are trained to a very high standard.
Bereavement is not the only form of loss we experience; it is recognised that the ending of a marriage or long-term relationship, loss of a job or home, even the onset of a serious health problem, can trigger a response similar to that of grief.
Please telephone 0161 796 0807 for further details if you would like to see a counsellor in a highly confidential atmosphere.
We are a registered charity, and our aim is to see clients for their first assessment as soon as possible after referral.

blaster, bury says...
9:42am Wed 26 Nov 08
why is it that bury council have no vehicle depot for all their commercial vans. the reason i ask is that in our street we a six town housing van parked over the weekend in a residential parking area which never moves at the weekend, this causes a problem when i want to park outside my own house or anyone else for that matter. i have contacted bury council (not giving my name incase of any reprisels)
my letters and emails must have been egnored, because this van continues to park useing a very valuable space that residents and myself can use. maybe the bury times can get some answers.
thankyou blaster
