Can I please refer to the “Well done to council waste depot employee” letter in the Bury Times of January 21.

Although we were very pleased to hear that a resident had received excellent customer service at the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) in Bury, we would like to point out that it is in fact Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority who is responsible for the Household Waste Recycling Centres in Greater Manchester, including Fernhill at Bury, and not the responsibility of Bury Council. We would like to thank the resident for taking the time to write to the Bury Times and inform the public of their positive and pleasant experience.
