The town centre is looking good, although one poor little street has been overlooked once again.
Yes Crompton Street is part of Bury town centre, but as usual we have been neglected by the “powers that be”.
We never have one light at Christmas — we are the “poor relations” as far as Bury Council are concerned, in fact we have even had to fight to get our street included on the town centre maps in the past.
It is such a shame because Crompton Street is one of the oldest traditional streets in the town centre and we could look so good at Christmas.
If you look down the street from the Mill Gate at the moment all you can see is a very dim and dismal street light!
So come on Bury Council, surely we are worthy of a little bit of Christmas cheer — please, please, please bring us out of the dark.
