LIKE most of your readers’ letters concerning bus lanes, Alan Davies of Whitefield’s letter contains inaccuracies.
The bus lane on Manchester Road near Gigg Lane is longer than 200 yards long. There are only three lanes at the junction with Parkhills Road and Manchester Road.
Before the bus lane there was only one lane going towards Bury town centre.
Those caught by the camera car should have their details passed to the police for an eyesight test. Why should I risk an accident because someone is driving illegally in a bus lane?
Perhaps Mr Davies should move to Denton where there is a bus lane on the A57 Westbound towards Junction 24 of the M60. It is driven in after 4pm and not enforced.
