PETER JOHN TAYLOR 8th May 1944 - 19th June 2020 (Baildon previously Croston and Prestwich) At 76 Peter has finally faced the inevitable, unplayable delivery and left the field for the last time. He was the dearly loved husband of Lynn and the proud father of Gavin. He was a special brother to Judy and Andrew, a fondly remembered uncle of Joy, Alison, Michael and David, and an exceptional Gramps to Seth and Isaac. He will be sorely missed by all of his relatives. Peter remained a loyal friend to many people from his school days and his work for the Government, as well as to those he met through his fanatical interest in cricket. He was generous and kind-hearted, but will probably be remembered most for his wicked sense of humour and his talent for mimicry. Peter wanted a 'big send-off' but due to current Government regulations, a small private service will be held at St James Church, Baildon on 6th July. Donations for the Stroke Association and The Christie Hospital Manchester, in memory of Peter, may be sent to the Funeral Director, Desmond Jackson, 22 Westgate, Baildon, Shipley, BD17 5EJ 01274 582640 As soon as everything returns to normal we will arrange a get together for friends and family to share our many memories of Peter.
