Dear Jack. I remember when he first came to choir and he was always smiling so I called him Happy Jack from a line in a song.
He was also one of the group who went to the pub after rehearsals putting the world to rights and often having a little singalong too.
Simon often bumped into Jack at Bury football club where they were both members.
Jack will be sorely missed. Kindest wishes to all his family.
Ann and Simon Attwell.

I remember chatting to Jack a lot about Bury Football Club over the years.
He was a lovely man and a much valued choir member.
He will be greatly missed by all.
R.I.P. Jack.

So very sad to hear this. I will miss my singing friend and his humour in the Acapeelers when we resume. A lovely person to have known. A Gentleman and a gentle man. RIP Jack.

Rest in peace Uncle Jack from Dean, Claire, Abigail, Sky, Les and Barbara. Having known you all my life I can guarantee you are enjoying a glass of wine, or 6, having a laugh with friends and you are happily reunited with Mary. XXX

We will all miss Jack - especially once Bury Acapeelers choir gets up and going live again. He was an integral part for so long - apart from just being the loveliest of guys; a much treasured member of our bass section. Hope you found "crossing the bar" an easy journey, Jack.

Jack, we were looking forward to seeing you back at choir rehearsals once the pandemic had subsided, but instead there'll be an empty chair on the front row. You have been a stalwart from the early days, helping to build the choir up and serving as Secretary for many years, and we'll miss you a lot. Rest in Peace.

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music
Used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the music died
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry
And them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin', "This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die"

A very much loved grandad is now with a very much loved grandma! Together forever and always remembered! Dancing and singing American pie at the beach and eating as many tuna sandwiches as they want. Stay strong tough cookies!
Loveyou always xx
