ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
FP160 (PART), FP161 (PART), FP168 and FP169 CHESTER CITY ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the length of FP160 Chester City commencing on the Watergate South Row at OSGR SJ 4049 6627 at the junction with the top steps of FP169 Chester City, and running for approximately 18m along the ROW to the junction with FP 161 Chester City and the top of the steps for FP169 Chester City at OSGR SJ 4051 6627. FP161 Chester City commencing on the Bridgegate West ROW at OSGR 4051 6627 at the junction with the top step of FP169 Chester City and running in a southerly direction for approximately 12m to OSGR SJ 4051 6625 and FP168 Chester City steps, from Watergate to the Watergate North Row and FP169 steps from Bridgegate to the Bridgegate West Row.
The closure is necessary because of construction work happening adjacent to the footpath. The order came into force on 09 September 2021 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the Order is extended.
