Rectory Lane, Prestwich - Southerly side, from a point 10 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Rectory Avenue to a point 10 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Rectory Avenue
Rectory Avenue, Prestwich - Both sides, from the southerly kerbline of Rectory Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. West side, from a point 7 metres north of the projected northerly kerbline of Rectory Grove for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction. East side from a point 5 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Rectory Grove to a point 5 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Rectory Grove. Rectory Grove, Prestwich - North side, from the easterly kerbline of Rectory Avenue for a distance of 31 metres in an easterly direction. East side, from its northerly kerbline for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. South side from the easterly kerbline of Rectory Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction A copy of the Order (including the exemptions contained in it) which comes into operation on 26/05/22 and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 26/05/22 apply to the High Court for that purpose. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (CHURCH LN/BANK ST, WHITFIELD) TEMPORARY CLOSURE & PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be as follows:-Road Closure Bank St, Whitefield - from Church Ln for 60m in a northerly direction Footway Closure Church Ln/Bury New Rd, Whitefield - from Bank St to 25m north of Church Ln. Prohibition of left turn from Church Ln to Bury New Rd. The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate emergency works to Whitefield Metrolink Tunnel. The alternative route will be via Stanley Rd, Moss Ln & Bury New Rd. The Order comes into operation on 30/05/22 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 6
weeks.
