The Bolton (Regulation Of Waiting, Loading And Unloading) (Consolidation) Order 2015 (Library Street, Westhoughton)

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, its effect, which will be operative from 9* June 2022, will be as follows:

Wigan Road (both), Library Street (both), Howarth Street (both), Additions: No Waiting At Any Time
Hindley Road (south-west), Mill Lane (both), Redwood (both), Wigan Road (both), Holden Lea (south), Molyneux Road (north-east), Library Street (both), Hindley Road (north-east), Miry Lane (both), Pavilion Square (both), Winterbourne Drive (both), Perseverance Close (both), Bolton Road (northwest), Howarth Street (both)

Anybody wishing to question the Order's provisions or validity may, within six weeks from the 2nd June 2022, apply to the High Court for this purpose. (REF: LS/SMW/084793)
The Council proposes to make three Orders under Section 9,10 and 11 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will be operative from the 9" June 2022 its effect will be as follows:-
The Bolton (Coronation Street) (Prohibition Of Driving) (Experimental) (No.4) Order 2022
Prohibition of Driving All Motor Vehicles except pedal cycle - All times: Coronation Street - from a point 65m south of the junction with Victoria Square South for a distance of 7m in a southerly direction
The Bolton (Various Roads) (Various Restrictions) (Experimental) (No.5) Order 2022

A copy of the draft Orders, together with relevant plans and statement of the reasons may be viewed online at

It is the Council's intention that if within a period of 6 months from the coming into force of these Orders, no objections have been received, then under Sections 84(1) to (4) and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Council will make permanent Orders to continue the restrictions in force indefinitely. Any objections or representations should state the grounds they are made on and be sent either by email to
