ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (YORK STREET, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles and pedestrians from proceeding along:-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles and pedestrians from proceeding along:-

York Street, Bury - carriageway and easterly side footway between Rochdale Road and Fletcher Street.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate building maintenance works. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Croft Street, Bond Street and Rochdale Road and vice-versa and for pedestrians the alternative route will be via the westerly side footway.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Sunday 05 February 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 1 day. Dated 26 January 2017 Council Solicitor

3) Arthur Lane, Radcliffe - Roading Brook Road to Bury Old Road



The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The alternative route will be:-

1) Via Parksway, Bishops Road, Scholes Lane and Bury Old Road and vice-versa.



2) Via Rostron Road and Victoria Street and vice-versa



3) Via Stiteh-Me-Lane, New Lane, Blair Lane, Winchester Way, Deepdale Road -Bolton, Red Lane and Bury Old Road - Bury and vice-versa



The Order comes into operation on Monday 30 January 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 or 4 weeks and the closures will only be implemented as and when required by the works. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 35a, ST ANDREWS, RADCLIFFE) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-

Public Footpath 35a, St Andrews, Radcliffe - between Salisbury Road and Stanley Road

The reason for the proposed order is in the interests of public safety given significant level differences to adjacent land and construction traffic movements. The alternative route will be via Leander Close, Salisbury Road, Ainsworth Road and Stanley Road and vice versa.

The Order comes into operation on Thursday 26 January 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, and the anticipated duration of the works is 6 months.

From Bury New Road, Prestwich southbound (easterly side carriageway)

To Bury New Road, Prestwich northbound at the southerly end of the central reservation, 63 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Kingswood Road

A copy of the Order (including the exemptions contained in it) which comes into operation on 30 January 2017 and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 30 January 2017 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
